A story of hope and inspiration in the midst of pain
Mahbuba, a 76-year-old Palestinian woman living in the Mawasi Khan Younis camp, faced a major challenge after developing a severe wound under her right foot on 12/8/2024, worsened by complications from diabetes and hypertension. Her condition reached a critical stage, weighing heavily on her both physically and emotionally.

On 18/8/2024, the Baytna team stepped in, offering comprehensive medical care, including wound treatment and intensive nursing sessions. Alongside the physical care, they provided psychological support to restore her smile and confidence. Her family was also guided on how to support her during this tough time.

Weeks of collaborative efforts led to remarkable progress: the wound significantly healed, and Mahbuba regained her ability to walk using an aid. Most importantly, her smile returned, and she became a source of inspiration for all through her determination and resilience.
This story reminds us of the power of solidarity and the importance of combining psychological support with medical care.
